This is my quick paint piece painted during the 2025 Door County Plein Air Festival. I've seen these hollyhocks every year in Fish Creek and have always wanted to paint them. This is, without a doubt, the most fun two hour quick paint piece I've ever done! The colors are not ones I normally paint with, and not a subject I paint very often. I definitely channeled my inner impressionist!
