This was painted in the studio from reference photos I took in France. We came upon these men harvesting grapes by hand on this gray day in a very small vineyard. They gave us some of the grapes to try...they were so small and very sweet. Just delicious! This piece has found a new home in a winery tasting room in upstate New York.
