Moran Canyon Road

My husband and I decided to explore the hills south of North Platte, Nebraska, a few months ago and were so glad we took Moran Canyon Road. The landscape through the canyon is something you would expect to find in Colorado or similar places. We eventually got to the end of the canyon and took the road to the top of the hill where we found fairly flat farmland. We decided to turn around and go back the way we came and this was the scene we saw as we descended back down into the canyon. At that exact moment, the sun shone through the silvery clouds and lit up the middle ground and background. It took our breath away! I knew that this was a gift I had to paint...I just had to include in this project. Yes, this really is Nebraska!
