This is one of my favorite spots along the California coast south of Carmel. It's also one of the windiest places I've ever painted! This painting was done in the studio from a plein air study. The sea was relatively calm this particular day and the sunlight was incredible. I loved the cool colors of the ocean juxtaposed against the warm rich tones of the cliffs. It's a magical place...
